Okay, so he asked you the big question and of course, you said YES! Now it’s time for you to ask your girls to stand next to you on your big day. What better way to ask them with a personalized bridesmaid proposal box?
Even before I got engaged, I knew that I wanted to put together bridesmaid boxes for my best friends and I knew exactly what I wanted in my bridesmaid boxes. I spent some time looking for the perfect pieces to make my bridesmaid proposal box dreams come true! Here’s how I did it!
BOXES
When I first started, I wasn’t sure how many items I would have in my boxes. I decided to wait to get my boxes until I had everything just to make sure everything would fit and lay well. When I did get them, I found these beautiful photo boxes from Michaels that didn’t break the bank. You would be amazed as to how much some decorative boxes can cost! Being a photographer, I loved that the boxes were photo boxes but another great part of them is the little metal label holder. This is the perfect place to put each bridesmaid’s little name tag!
Then I ordered some white crinkled paper from Etsy. You can find this same paper at any craft store but if you are making multiple boxes, buying it online in bulk is the way to go. There better deals online!
SUGAR COOKIES
Let’s talk about cookies. This was something that I had seen years ago on Pinterest. Someone had pinned a photo of some custom sugar cookies that said “Will you be my bridesmaid” and some that were made to look like a calendar with a wedding date. That was it. I knew I had to have them in my boxes. So reached out Sugar Bloom Cookies in Denver, CO and they were able to make my sugar cookie proposal cookies dreams come true! The cookies turned out SOOO beautiful and I love that they were able to put their own creative touch to the cookies!
CHAMPAGNE
All of my friends know I love champagne so much so that it is my drink of choice. So obviously I wanted a little bottle of champagne and a champagne flute in the box. I went to my local liquor store and found these little pink bottles in a four-pack and added one to each box. Then I went to Etsy and searched “custom champagne flutes” and found TheSparklyCo. I was able to personalize them by adding my bridesmaid’s name on them in silver as well as their wedding title like “bridesmaid,” “mother of the bride” and, “maid of honor” under their names. They were so well wrapped that they didn’t break and the packaging was SOO cute and unique. Each glass was individually wrapped in pink tissue paper and bubble wrap. There was a sweet note from the owner and she even threw in some pink and white straws! I was blown away with the packaging and I highly recommend using this company!
EXTRAS
I came across two little details that I wanted to add to my boxes at random. I found these little heart ring holders at target one day while I was rummaging through the dollar section. For all of my Target girls, you know exactly where this is at each store and know about all the great hidden treasures you can find there. Since these were in the dollar section, this might be an item that isn’t in stock at all times. I found that they always have a little wedding section in the dollar section during the spring when wedding season is around the corner. If you keep an eye out you might just find them!
I also stumbled across Bath & Body Work’s champagne toast body lotion! I was walking into Bath & Body Work’s winter semi-annual sale and it was the first thing I saw. I mean this lotion not only smells so good, but it is also called champagne toast! Isn’t that the most perfect name for this occasion?!
So there you have it! These were the bridesmaid boxes that I put together for each of my sweet bridesmaids. I loved putting these together. Not only was I able to create a cute little gift for each girl but it also resulted in a great memory with each of my girls as I asked them to stand by my side on my wedding day!
